“I used 8201 Vinyl Siding Cleaner on my vinyl siding with outdoor bleach just like I was told by the folks at SOCAR. I ran the solution through the downstream injector of my pressure washer. After rinsing my siding looks brand new. Didn't have to brush it at all!”

      Frequently Asked Questions

How do I mix this product?

The answer depends on your specific application. If you have aluminum siding, we do not recommend the use of bleach. For all other types of siding, follow these mixing directions:

If you are running the solution through the downstream injector or soap reservoir of a pressure washer, mix 1 gallon of cleaner with 2 gallons of outdoor bleach and 2 gallons of water.

If you are applying using a pump sprayer or using a bucket/brush, mix 32 oz. of cleaner with 1 gallon of outdoor bleach and 3 gallons of water.

What do you mean by "outdoor bleach?"

When we say "outdoor bleach" or "industrial bleach" we are referring to a solution of 10-15% Sodium Hypochlorite or "SH". This solution is commonly sold in hardware stores as outdoor bleach, or in pool supply stores as liquid chlorine.

Outdoor bleach supercharges our Vinyl Siding Cleaner allowing it to more effectively eliminate mildew and black streaks from your siding.

Do you sell outdoor bleach/Sodium Hypochlorite?

Yes. We sell 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite Solution at our outlet store in Greenville, SC and offer it for local delivery in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Due to shipping restrictions, we are unable to sell this product online for shipping.

Do I have to use outdoor bleach with this product?

No. If your house is free of bad mildew stains and/or black streaks, you may find our Vinyl Siding Cleaner to be 100% effective in cleaning your siding without the use of outdoor bleach.

If you decide not to use bleach, simply replace the bleach in the mixing instructions with more water.

Can I use regular Clorox/household bleach instead?

We don't recommend it, as the concentration of Sodium Hypochlorite typically found in household bleach is around 3%, which does not have much effect when mixed into solution with our product.

Will this product hurt my plants/grass?

Vinyl Siding Cleaner is safe for your grass/plants. If you use outdoor bleach with your Vinyl Siding Cleaner, we recommend wetting any plants in the immediate area before/after you clean.

When adding outdoor bleach (sodium hypochlorite) in your cleaning solution, please follow the manufacturer's safety recommendations and precautions.

Is it safe for my windows?

Our Vinyl Siding Cleaner is safe for your windows. As with most cleaning chemicals, do not allow it to dry on glass surfaces, as it may leave a residue.
